Sen and I are planning something crazy for the next chapter of our life, and we just took the first step. We plan to move around to different destinations for six months to a year. The first step was Sen quitting his job, making this decision a bit more real... We need a few months to prepare, mainly to sell items we can’t take on the road and plan our budget, destinations, etc.

I told my mom of this decision about a week ago, and she doesn’t seem very surprised. She was almost like, oh, the time has come. I was looking forward to my mom’s approval even though I had not lived at home for nearly ten years. I feel like I had been “conditioning” her, though. I told her I wanted a destination wedding with Sen and me, even though I knew she wanted me to have a traditional wedding. The second time I told her I would quit the very stable corporate job, I spent a lot of time to “land.” To start Evolusen with Sen. Now, I told her Sen to leave his very stable job, and we are going to sell almost everything and travel around the world. The only thing she asks is for us not to do this before the vaccine for COVID-19 is found.

Sen and I had been thinking about something like this for a few years, and the idea had finally become more solid. I felt like we were waiting for us to “get ready.” But as time went on, I realized that there would never be a time we are fully ready to do anything in life. It is exciting to be able to learn something while you are doing something. We will only be fully “ready” after we have had multiple experiences of the same things. So here we are.
